No other Pokémon is as mysterious as the creepy glitch that is MissingNo. Can you catch it, and what would happen if you do?
MissingNo is not actually a Pokémon, but a glitch that is prevalent in Pokémon Red and Blue. To find this glitch the player has to first watch a certain in-game tutorial, use the “Fly” ability to travel to Cinnabar and then use “Surf” to search the eastern shore until a MissingNo shows up. When it does it causes graphical glitches and gameplay bugs, and the MissingNo itself looks like a sprite consisting of glitched pixels in an L shape.
If you try to catch MissingNo it will corrupt your 6th item slot and if you’re unlucky it could completely destroy your save file.
